The Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) is an international convention that sets minimum training standards for seafarers. Any crew member serving on a vessel involved in international voyages must hold valid STCW certifications. Without them, you cannot legally sign on to a vessel.
Search for your required certificate using the course finder, select your preferred dates and location, compare available centres by price and rating, and click "Book Now" on your chosen centre. You'll receive an instant confirmation email and your seat is held for 48 hours while payment is processed.
Yes. Every centre on our platform has been verified for flag-state approval before listing. We check accreditation documents, review IMO white-list status where applicable, and re-verify all approvals annually. If a centre's approval lapses, it is automatically removed from search results.
If you find the same course at the same approved centre for a lower price on any other platform or directly through the training centre website within 24 hours of booking, we will refund the difference. Contact our support team with proof of the lower price and we'll process your refund within 2 business days.
Cancellation and rescheduling policies vary by centre, but most allow free cancellation up to 7 days before the course start date. Full details are shown on each centre's listing page before you book. MariBridge's own service fee is always fully refundable if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance.
After creating a MariBridge account and completing your profile, you can upload your existing certificates and set your expiry dates. Our system will send you automated reminders at 6 months, 3 months, and 30 days before each certificate expires — giving you plenty of time to find and book a refresher course.
Our maritime support team is available Monday–Friday, 08:00–20:00 UTC.
